About Us

“My experience working with Mano al Hermano these past two years has been amazing!  I tutor three children from two families, kindergarten and third graders, once a week in Manteo at their home.  It is a humbling experience to be immersed in their home life while working with reading, writing and math.  I do not speak Spanish but that has never been a problem.  I love these children and they bless me far more than I give to them!”          Linda White

Mano al Hermano comprises two Executive Directors, our Boardmembers, our Family Literacy Program Director, our Roanoke Island Community Garden Manager, and a number of amazing volunteers who are dedicated to the organization and the families that we serve.
